Chairman’s Message

Welcome to the official website of Korea Traditional Archery Culture Society (KTACS).
Traditional Korean archery, Gukgung, was designated as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage on July 30, 2020, in recognition of its profound historical value. To systematically preserve and develop these precious tangible and intangible assets, our society was established on February 2, 2021, as a non-profit organization authorized by the Cultural Heritage Administration.
We are dedicated to taking the lead in discovering and preserving the vanishing traditions of archery. Furthermore, we will devote our full strength toward the goal of inscribing Korean archery on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
